Who may apply to the Family Support Division for Child Support Services?
- Fill out and submit one(1) application for each individual paying support or alleged father if you are a person receiving support or the caretaker of the child(ren) who needs support.
- Fill out one (1) application for each individual receiving assistance if you are a person paying support or the alleged father of the child(ren) who needs support.
Applying for child support in Missouri by mail or in person
To apply in person or by mail for child support in MO, first download the application forms, then print them out and fill them out. The Family Child Support division will then use the information provided and begin a case to provide you with services.

Apply For Child Support Missouri Online
If we want to apply for Missouri child support online, we must complete the online form. Once completed, click on the Upload/Submit button.
Once we do the above we will be redirected to the Child Support division portal to complete the application. We will attach the application that we downloaded and filled out, and also attach all the documents that can support the application such as birth certificate, court order, among others. When finished, click Upload/Submit again.
When does my Child Support Missouri application become effective?
Your application may take up to 20 business days to be processed. You will get a letter in the mail once your application has been completed, informing you that your child support case has been initiated and providing you with your case number.
Also You can check the status of your application through the Missouri Division of Family Support website with your case ID, Social Security Number and date of birth. Another way is to call 573-556-3800 and ask.
